Feb, 2008 - BBB Industries has Acquired the Assets of Wilson Auto Electric

Windjammer Capital Investors (WCI) is pleased to announce that its portfolio company, BBB Industries, LLC (BBB), has completed the purchase of certain assets of Wilson Auto Electric, its subsidiary Wilson USA, Inc and its sister company Wilson Windings Ltd. As part of this transaction BBB will move a portion of Wilson's remanufacturing operations to BBB's Mexico facility, while continuing to retain and grow certain manufacturing and distribution operations in Canada. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

BBB (, known for its high-quality products and superior customer service, is a leading supplier of remanufactured and new starters and alternators for the automotive, light truck, and heavy-duty vehicle aftermarket. The company is headquartered in Mobile, Alabama and operates through a network of nine distribution facilities in the U.S. and its low-cost manufacturing facility in Reynosa, Mexico. The company has a long-term history of providing high levels of customer service, excellent on-time delivery, industry-leading quality while maintaining a full line of products. BBB has over 1,100 employees and serves a diverse customer base of warehouse distributors, independent automotive parts retailers, and big-box automotive parts retailers.

Founded in 1940, Wilson remanufactures and supplies 5,500 different alternators and starters to customers in North America and 55 countries worldwide. The Company supplies parts to the auto, light and heavy truck markets as well as, more specialized products to the heavy-duty truck, industrial, agricultural, marine, mining and construction industries.
