Aug, 2005 - Windjammer Completes Add-on Investment in Maxcess International

Windjammer completed an add-on investment in Maxcess International Corporation, a global market leader in providing highly engineered, mission critical parts used in web process manufacturing applications. Windjammer initially invested in Maxcess in October 2004 as part of a recapitalization to optimize the company's capital structure and position the company for future growth. Subsequent to its initial investment, Windjammer partnered with the management team and an existing investor in the company to acquire control of the business. The new ownership group has introduced a number of strategic initiatives to further strengthen Maxcess' leading market position. Maxcess line of web accessory products is the broadest in the industry and includes web guiding systems, winding products, slitting systems and tension control. The company's equipment is manufactured in the United States and Europe, and sold globally under the Fife, Tidland, and MagPowr brands.

"We were very fortunate to have Windjammer as our partner. Their expertise in working with niche-oriented, leading companies in the middle market, as well as their strategic guidance and resources were valuable to us as we expanded the business."
